| A Drive Up Mauna Kea on January 24, 2008 - by Tiki Steve
I started out in Kona in the morning and drove up to Mauna Kea. Wow! It's spactacular! If you get a chance, stay for the evening astronomy presentation at the visitor's center (9000 feet). It is very cool. But, bring warm clothes for the evening. It gets chilly up there. The saddle road is an interesting drive. I've driven it at night, in the fog, too!
